Hi, I’m Carolyn Superior Stitches is the name of my long-arm quilting business – although I do much more than that! I plan and host retreats, teach classes, cook, sew and quilt. I’m fortunate, I get to say every day of my life that I love my job. My wonderful partner, Rhoads, is very supportive of my dream to be the best I can be at doing the thing I love – quilting. He’s very accepting of thread, fabric, patterns and unfinished projects being a part of our living space. Our home is full of quilts. Mostly they are my creations, but a number of them are my client’s quilts that are waiting to become more beautiful than they already are. Can a person have too many quilts? I asked my nieces if they were tired of getting quilts as gifts from me. They chimed in together - “NO!” So, there you have it, a home never has too many quilts. A quilt can provide comfort, warmth and hugs as well as the love expressed in every stitch. I’ve always said you had to be “Quilt Worthy” to receive a quilt from me.
